Join Gudrun and the great teachers at Oak Ridge Conference center in Chaska, MN for a
fun filled weekend. Experience deluxe accommodations, gourmet meals and lots of
sewing. Many learning opportunities are offered as well as plenty of time to work on your
own projects or enjoy the many features the Hotel has to offer.










Dolce Oak Ridge Hotel and Conference center in Chaska, Minnesota is located on 130
beautifully wooded acres; just minutes from where Gudrun lives and works. It is only 30
minutes from the international airport and Mall of America.
The rooms are furnished with two double beds, full bath, cable tv and all other necessary
amenities, each with serene views of the lake McKnight area. The conference center has
wireless internet access throughout.









Meals will be served in the on site, award winning Season’s restaurant, where you will
experience lavish dining options with many choices for each meal.

The sewing room is a well lit, large room with great windows to bring in the natural light.
Each attendee will have their own 6’ table and an ergonomic sewing chair. If you want to
take a break from sewing you can work out in the fitness center, play racquetball, relax in
the sauna, hike along the many trails around the area or just enjoy a cocktail and a
conversation in the Lakeview Lounge.

Your hostess has planned a grand weekend filled with sewing, learning, laughing and
friendship. Gudrun has designed an exclusive retreat quilt which every attendee will
receive a complimentary copy of. Kits can be ordered before hand. Atmosphere will be
very light and easy going, you choose what you want to work on, whether it is one of the
many designs offered in the little retreat store or you bring your own projects. Gudrun  will
be available for your assistance, expert opinion and guidance the whole time.

Gudrun’s designs are on the traditional side with a little modern twist. She uses time
saving techniques when ever possible and her fabric choices are deep and rich colors.
She designs fabric for Red Rooster fabrics and currently has designed 5 fabric lines.

Tracy Trevethan is a fabric artist, her quilts are bold an bright with a more contemporary
style whether they are done with her own hand painted fabrics or accented by her dyed
wools.

Linda Hohag is known for her intricate appliqués using her starch method. She has
published a number of books and patterns and she designs fabric for P & B fabrics. She
has taught classes all over the country.

(Included in the price is lodging, all meals & snacks through the day, all classes &
class materials, retreat pattern and a gift bag)
Price is based on double occupancy, single rooms are available for extra fee

Sign Up before August 30th 2008

Bookings are taken through phone or e-mail. Limited space. A $200 deposit is
required at sign up payable with credit card or check. The full retreat fee is required
by september 10th 2008

Cancellation policy
Retreat fee is refundable if cancelled before september 1st 2008. Should you wish to
cancel after that, we will make every effort to sell your spot to someone on the
waiting list, but if unsuccessful the fee is non-refundable.
